El Katif 10 Gallon Plus Donors Club |
|
El Katif Temple's Ten Gallon Plus Donors Club has established a great track record in the Spokane regional community by producing two annual blood drives annually, which are held in the spring and fall. The El Katif Ten Gallon Plus Blood Donors Shrine Club was chartered in 1989 with eight donor members, and today has 22 active blood donor members who have donated a minimum of 10 gallons of blood to the community or to the Masonic blood bank. The Shrine/Non-Shrine community blood drive allows donors to credit their gift of life to the organization or family of their choice. Club President Clarence Jacobson noted that members of the 10 Gallon Plus Donors Club have made a total combined contribution of 367 gallons, which equates to 2,936 units of blood, plus non-Shriners from the community since 1989 have donated 1,200 units as a result of the blood drives. |
