The Northeast Washington Shrine Club was
chartered on January 10th 1972. With that
long history being a part of the El Katif
Shrine and supporting the Shriners Hospital
for Children in Spokane the members are
proud of the work they do.
The NEWSC conducts two screening clinics a
year to find children who need the care of
this fine hospital.
You will recognize the NEWSC when you see us
in parades driving those “funny” little
cars. The Lizzie Patrol is the pride and joy
of this club. We travel to Canada to support
our friends to the north and all over
northeast Washington to spread the “Word”
about the mission of the El Katif Shrine.
The quarter scale model T “Lizzies” we
operate are over 50 years old. We attend an
average of 14 parades each year. Everyone
enjoys seeing the Lizzies in the parades.
We will continue with the tried and true
events that have made the NEWSC successful
and a fun club to be a part of.
The NEWSC has contributed thousands of
dollars over the years to support the local
communities of northeast Washington to
ensure that children of need get the care
they deserve. We have fundraisers, dinners
and picnics to support this worthy endeavor.
If you are ever in the area and would like
to join us, our Dinner/meetings are held on
the second Friday of each month (except
June, July and August). So stop in we would
love to have you join us. We’re a bunch of
big kids who like to have fun. |
