Michelle Maley, a
second-grader at Rosalia,
Wash., had only one wish:
that her cousin Bryan Maley
not have to suffer from
lymphoma. Her wish came
true, and then some.
Students at Rosalia's
elementary school pitched in
and saved more than $200 in
pennies for Bryan.
But Bryan's health grew
better as the piles of
pennies grew larger, and he
felt the money could be
better spent at the
Shriner's Hospital in
Spokane, where he had
received treatment.
So Wednesday, the Rosalia
second-graders traveled to
Spokane and presented Lee
McGuire of the Whitman
County Shrine Club with the
money. |
